Will my employees be able to get the salary of other employees?
By using Insight, you can, in fact, infer the salary of your colleagues. That's why, this first release is only meant for CEOs, other execs and HR. Essentially, anyone with access to salaries can use the tool right now.
What if I don't want to connect my HR system?
We offer the option to upload a CSV. There, you can control better the costs that you are giving to the tool. For example, if you are the CEO and your C Level has full salary visibility within the company except your salary, you can upload the CSV without your salary and invite then your C Level to use the tool.
What about the employees with no salary visibility?
We are working on new improvements so that everyone at the company can use it without compromising salary confidentiality (e.g., by showing only a bar plus a comparable item of the meeting cost, like a hotel night or a flight ticket).
What implementation is required? How do you know the meeting cost?
You have to connect Google Calendar, your HR system (or upload a CSV with employee cost per hour) and download the Chrome extension. We are able to get the real meeting cost by getting the salary information from the HR system and coupling it with the meeting information.
